Three Lions Team Selection Revealed: Jude and Foden Omitted, Saka Returns
Thomas Tuchel has chosen to retain the same England squad that secured victory against their previous opponents and produced a stellar display in Serbia during the previous international break, leaving no room for Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden in his group for the upcoming exhibition match against Wales and the qualifying match in the Baltic nation.
Despite Phil Foden pushing for a return to the squad after regaining his top condition at his club, and Jude Bellingham having made a comeback for Real Madrid following shoulder surgery, the national team manager has decided against including two of the country's biggest attacking talents. The young midfielder has started just a single time for his club since his comeback.
The England boss has made room for the Arsenal winger, who is back to fitness and has been reinstated in place of his unavailable club colleague Noni Madueke. The experienced attacker has not been handed a recall.

Tuchel expressed his admiration for the energy in the previous selection and seems intent on maintaining the vibe. The Newcastle defender, who featured at left-back in the convincing victory in Serbia, has been ruled out due to a knock. Tuchel has opted against selecting a like-for-like substitute for the Newcastle player but has selected the Manchester City defender, who had to pull out last month. He has discussed the Manchester City defender's significance for the national team and has floated the idea of deploying him in the middle of the park.
There is no place for Adam Wharton, who was selected last month but pulled out injured and was replaced by the Milan player.
The manager stated: “It was only three weeks after the last camp and the last win, the last performance, so the consideration was why not bring the same group in because they set the standard. The focus now is on building routines out of it. We have unfortunately two injuries at the moment with Livramento and Madueke and we bring of course Bukayo Saka in to take the place of Noni. The defender was a late call-up last time; he will stay in camp.”
