Los Merengues attacker Vinicius Jr has apologised to supporters for his reaction when taken off in the recent fiery El Clasico triumph.
Vinicius was replaced in the 72nd minute and expressed his annoyance by heading directly to the dressing room.
Vinicius eventually reappeared to the bench and, after his team's 2-1 victory, attempted to approach Barcelona's Lamine Yamal during unsavoury final whistle exchanges.
"This day I want to say sorry to all the Real Madrid fans for my reaction when I was taken off in the derby," he posted on X.
"Similarly to I have previously expressed during the latest training, I wish to say sorry once more to my colleagues, the team, and the leadership.
"Sometimes passion gets the better of me because I always want to succeed and help my side. My determined nature originates in the passion I have for this team and everything it symbolizes."
The player joined Real from Brazil in 2018 for a significant fee and has accumulated triple figures in numerous matches.
But his prospects in the Spanish capital is uncertain with reports in lately indicating that the club would consider allowing the player leave if they obtained a good proposal.
When Vinicius was taken off on that day, cameras from broadcaster the service picked him up remarking: "Again me! I'm departing the side! It's preferable if I go, I'm moving on."
In his latest statement on X, Vinicius stated: "I promise to keep striving constantly for the welfare of the club, as I have performed since the very beginning."
